Volunteering Opportunities

We are currently looking for passionate volunteers for both General support, and with relevant experience or interests to help us fill specific roles

How to Get Involved

All experience and interests welcome! We rely on dedicated volunteers in all aspects to maintain and sustain the Park. Hours vary per project however most volunteers commit an average of two to four hours per week. Not sure if you can do the job? No worries, we’ll train you! Here are some general needs/projects (scroll for descriptions below):

  • Docent / Tours

  • Visitor Services

  • Research, Archivist

  • Photo digitization

  • Administrative Support

  • Oral History interviewer

  • And much more!

*Online Applications are for adults 18+. We currently do not have a Volunteer Coordinator to help us facilitate/schedule our student volunteers. Thank you for understanding!

Grounds Maintenance

Join our team as a Grounds Maintenance & Organization Volunteer and help us maintain an environment of cleanliness and efficiency at our nonprofit museum. Your dedication to tidiness and organization will contribute to a seamless and enjoyable experience for our visitors. ​ No Experience Required.

Volunteer Coordinator

Are you a natural organizer with a knack for bringing people together? Our nonprofit museum is searching for a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to lead the charge in assembling a community of enthusiastic volunteers. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our volunteer program, ensuring that the collective efforts of our Gen Z and Millennial supporters have a meaningful impact.

Social Media Specialist

Are you a creative and tech-savvy individual with a passion for storytelling and visual communication? Help us pivot and redefine our social presence while enjoying creativity and helping us rebuild our brand voice on Instagram, Facebook and (if you dig video, TikTok, but we won't overwhelm you -- any start is a great start!)

Registrar, Archivist : Museum

Collaborate closely with our Curatorial Director in a unique mentorship capacity. This role is an incredible opportunity for aspiring arts professionals to gain hands-on experience, learn the intricacies of museum management, and make a lasting impact on the art world. ​ No experience needed. Training provided on-site by our curator and Museum team. Availability: Tuesday or Wednesday, 10AM-2PM

Grant Writer

Interested in researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations and other funding sources? This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about the arts, culture, and education to contribute their skills in support of our mission. If you have a talent for crafting compelling proposals and want to make a meaningful impact, we welcome you to be a vital part of our fundraising efforts.

Docent

Are you a history enthusiast with a gift for captivating storytelling? Join our team as a Docent and embark on a journey of sharing the rich tapestry of our museum's history and culture with visitors, including kids and families. As a Docent, you'll be a bridge between the past and present. No experience needed. All training provided.
